In the year of 2008 we saw challenges in all areas of our society, our government, our laws and our churches.

After watching Satan at work in so many areas, we could end the year with praise to a living God that December was a  witness of the power of the Holy Spirit in our first Holiness Summit which was bi-lingual and led by our local Louisville, KY churches and the members of our Evangelical Holiness Community (or CES). People were represented from Florida, Illinois to Iowa. But most of all, the precious Holy Spirit was moving in conviction upon hearts that needed to be saved and sanctified and many sought the Lord to be cleansed and filled by His presence. Thank you Lord for still working in our churches!

We are grateful for our speakers who were Rev. Tom Dunbar, President Oscar Estrada (Honduran Holiness Church), Dr. Tom Hermiz, Rev. Tim Hawk, Pastors David Castro, Hector Julian Ordonez and Ulices Amaya.
After long hours of work, the Louisville church inaugurated the newly remodeled auditorium with a full house in each of the services. The fruit of many labors was well worth the hard work. The many prayers and much fasting before the meetings were met with many victories in people finding spiritual relief. Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer, fixing food, housing people or long travel. Eternity will give you reward.

This is the first of many Holiness Summits we expect to see among all our churches. Would you join us in prayer for another Holiness Movement that will cover our country once again meeting the need that is in every human heart, the need for heart cleansing? Ephesians 5:25-27 states that, Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

We believe that Jesus is calling on people to allow Him to do inside of their souls what we can not do on our own and that is to make us pure and free from the contaminates of sin. He promised us a life of victory. I invite you to allow a loving and holy God to sit on the throne of your life and live through you what He planned all through the history of man, to restore you to a right relation with God.

This year of 2009 can be the best year of our lives. If you refuse God, I can’t give you much hope. But if you become a “seeker” of God with all your heart, you will find Him and have the promise that “To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time.”
